Kerala Hindus of Arizona (KHA) is an Indian (India) Social, Educational, Cultural non-profit (501 c(3)) organization based in Arizona. KHA has been reaching out to the community with varied cultural programs, social gatherings and humanitarian aid efforts. It is our priority to pass a deep awareness about the rich heritage unique customs and eclectic culture of kerala to the younger generation in the US, so that they can appreciate and take pride in their genealogy.

Monthly Puja/Bhajan


KHA Conducts Bhajans the second Saturday of every month at home of one of its memebrs who volunteer to host it. Bhajan usually begins at 6.30pm , followed by Satsang, Aarthi and Prasad. Vegiterian food will be served after the event. The host of the Bhajna is requested to arrange the potluck details. Program : Greet and Meet, Bhajan, Satsang, Aarthi, Any announcements from KHA, information on next puja/bhajan followed by dinner and social time. Please contact us if you would like to host any monthly puja/bhajan. If you are new to this community, please come by and attend the next upcoming puja/bhajan. Ayyappa Mandala Puja Celebrations


KHA celebrates 41-Days Mandalam season beginning from first day of the Malayalam month of Vrishchikam (November-December) and culminating on eleventh day of Dhanu (December-January). During this period, Lord Ayyappa bhajan and Puja will be conducted every week at various religious places/locations/devotees residences in the valley. If you are interested in hosting the Ayyappa Puja and Bhajana, please contact Ayyappa Puja Coordinator(s) (Elected by executive Committee due-of-course) or any KHA Officla or volunteer, or write to azhindus@gmail.com.

Vishu Celebration


Vishu is a Hindu festival celebrated in Kerala, India. Vishu signifies the Hindu New Year and falls on the month of Madam in the Malayalam calendar, usually in the second week of April in the Gregorian calendar. KHA is organizing this event to bring the real feel of traditional Vishu with an assortment of cultural programs including Vishu Kani (arrangement of auspicious religious items on a metal vessel called uruli), Prayer, Vishu Kaineetam, an array of Dance performances by professional and talented artists and song performances. There will also be a delicious feast called "Vishu Sadya" of more than 20 traditional items serving on banana leaf.

Onam Celebration


Onam is the national festival celebrated in Kerala, India.The festival falls during the Malayalam month of Chingam (Aug - Sep) and marks the commemoration of Vamana avatara of Vishnu and the subsequent homecoming of the mythical King Mahabali who Malayalees consider as their King.Onam is reminiscent of Kerala's agrarian past, as it is considered to be a harvest festival. KHA celebrating Onam festival with great pomp. The event includes Onapattukal (festival songs), Spectacular dance Choreographies, Skits, Traditional Kerala shows, Maveli varavelp procession and various other cultural/traditional performances including delicious feast called "OnaSadya".

Other Cultural/Charitable/Fundraising Events


KHA will conduct many cultural/traditional/educational and fundraising events for the benefit of the community as per the sole discretions of the executive committee. The event information will be posted on our website and other community / social media sites.

KHA's Cultural forum promotes and preserve the Indian Cultural heritage and Art forms for younger generations in order to provide awareness and opportunities for the youth to grasp the beauty and dignity of Indian History.
